The Miami Heat are gaining on the Boston Celtics for the best record in the Eastern Conference. Coming into Thursday night, the Heat trailed Boston by just ½ game. Miami is coming off a five point win on Tuesday over Indiana, where they scored 117 points as a team. In the win, LeBron James poured in 41 points and 13 rebounds. Miami has won 18 of 27 games on the road this season, and when playing against other Eastern Conference foes the Heat have won 25 of 32 games.

The Detroit Pistons would love nothing better than to snap Miami’s winning streak. The Pistons have played a bit better as of late, and climbed to within one game of third place Milwaukee in the Central Division. Detroit is led in scoring by Rodney Stuckey, and his 15.3 points per game. The Pistons have struggled offensively all season, averaging 94.7 points per game, which is 26th in the league. The Pistons are 13-17 against the Eastern Conference.

Our Betting Picks: Miami goes on the road and wins again. Heat win 101-89.
