NBA Basketball Free Picks
NBA betting on tap for Sunday with two games on the board. Cleveland is at Boston, but we’ll focus on the Western Conference matchup between the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs. Spurs have their backs up against the wall after losing three straight to ‘Los Suns’, and are facing elimination here today. The game starts at 5:05 PM Pacific.
SAN ANTONIO SPURS VS. PHOENIX SUNS:
Everyone knows the situation the Spurs now face–no NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a 7 game series. In fact, just under 40% of teams in this situation make it to a Game 5. It’s a difficult motivational spot, with the only thing awaiting the Spurs should they win being a trip back to the Suns tough home court in Phoenix. Teams up 3-0 in the NBA playoffs win the 4th game and complete the sweep 60.2% of the time and with Phoenix a +3′ point underdog all we need for them to do is win the game outright.
Nice NBA betting opportunity on Tuesday night’s card as the Orlando Magic host the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Hawks finally dismissed the pesky Milwaukee Bucks by winning game 7 at home, while Orlando has been biding their time after sweeping Charlotte in the first round. This game goes at 5:05 PM Pacific.
ORLANDO MAGIC VS. ATLANTA HAWKS:
Most of the media coverage on the Magic/Bobcats series was focused on Dwight Howard’s ‘ineffectiveness’. Much of that was due to Charlotte’s ‘Hack-a Dwight’ strategy–they had a number of big stiffs with 6 fouls to give and they used them to frustrate Howard and take him out of his game. Now contrast that with Atlanta’s problem in dealing with Milwaukee who had lost *their* strongest interior defender and low post scoring threat–Andrew Bogut–to injury late in the season. Teams that play in a game 7 are typically a good ‘go against’ in Game 1 of their next series, and this appears to be a really bad matchup for Atlanta and a really good matchup for Orlando.
NBA betting on tap for Sunday as we have Game 7 of the Eastern Conference opening round series between the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. It makes me sad that this could be the last time this season we get to feature our beloved Milwaukee Bucks ENERGEE! Dancers. If you’ve been around this season you know that we dubbed the Bucks’ dance team the finest in the NBA long ago, even if they do have a screwy name. This game goes at 10:05 AM Pacific/1:05 PM Eastern and will be televised on ABC TV here in the US.
ATLANTA HAWKS VS. MILWAUKEE BUCKS:
NBA betting continues on Friday night with three playoff games on tap. We’ll take a look at a Western Conference matchup between the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets. The Jazz earned a series split in Denver despite losing starting center Mehmet Okur to a ruptured Achilles’ tendon. Games three and four are in Salt Lake City where the Jazz are historically very tough. Game four will be a rare Sunday contest in Utah with the series shifting back to Denver for Game 5.
