NBA betting action for Friday takes us to the United Center in Chicago aka ‘The House That Jordan Built’ as the hometown Bulls host the Portland Trailblazers. The Blazers have had more injuries this year than a skid row hospital emergency room, but they’ve continued to scrap and play hard with whatever lineup they’ve got on the floor. Currently, Portland is in the 8th and final Western Conference playoff spot which would potentially produce an interesting first round matchup with the LA Lakers. You see, the Lakers haven’t won a game in Portland since Kareem and Clyde Drexler were still playing. Actually, it hasn’t been *that* long as the Lakers won their last game at Portland’s Rose Garden but that ended a nine game losing streak in Rip City.

The Chicago Bulls are actually playing decent basketball as well, and are currently in the playoff mix in the Eastern Conference. Contrary to rational explanation, Joakim Noah has become a solid defensive center and the Bulls have won 7 of their L10 games.

PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS VS. CHICAGO BULLS:

Marcus Camby is listed as questionable with an ankle injury for this game.  Bulls have won 7 of their L9 both SU and ATS but we’ll gladly take Portland plus the points here.  Blazers have been a solid road investment all season with an 18-9 ATS mark away from home.  They’ve won and covered the first two games on their current five city road trip and a win here would guarantee a winning mark for the eastern swing.  With the exception of Camby, who could very well play, Portland is as healthy as they’ve been in some time.  While Chicago may have the better interior defense the Blazers have a huge edge in the backcourt with Andre Miller and Brandon Roy.  Portland has dominated the series in recent years–the Blazers have won five straight covering four.  Portland has won the last three games by double digits and going back a ways has a 16-9 ATS mark against Chicago since 1996.  The Bulls have gotten better, but not *that* much better.  Blazers win outright here as +3′ point underdogs.
