Get ready for a massacre!
The Baltimore Ravens have been much improved this season with the emergence of their offense with quarterback Joe Flacco proving that he can be one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Now the Ravens don’t only have one of the best defenses in the league lead by Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, but they have arguably one of the best offenses with perhaps the most promising young quarterback in the NFL.
Despite the Ravens playing great on both sides of the football this season, they have have been playing in arguably the best division in the AFC in the AFC North.
The Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers are two teams that you do not want to compete with in the same division this season, but that has been exactly what Joe Flacco and company have had to deal with this year.As of right now the Bengals are the team to beat in the AFC North this season as they have beaten both the Ravens and the Steelers this year, but the Ravens are hoping to keep up their winning ways and compete for the AFC Wildcard.
Last time these two met back in week three the Cleveland Browns just got destroyed as the Ravens were just relentless beating down their division rivals 34-3 in a blowout win which seemed to be the first of many this season for the struggling Cleveland franchise.
Coming into this season the Browns had some high hopes to get back on track with new head coach Eric Mangini and Brady Quinn starting behind center. Unfortunately, the combination of Mangini and Browns has not been good one as nothing has gone right this season as they sit at the bottom of the AFC North standings with a 1-7 record.
The biggest problem for the Browns this season, one of many, has been the quarterback play as both Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn have had their shot this year and failed miserably. Now the Browns will go to Quinn once again as their starter to try and see if they can get something going at quarterback, but I believe it will just be more of the same as Quinn will continue to struggle and the Browns will fall to 1-8 this week against the Ravens.
