Preview: The San Francisco Giants will look to put a complete strangle hold on the 2010 World Series Saturday night when they play game 3 in Arlington. It will be the first ever World Series game played at home for the Texas Rangers.
The Giants, after scoring 11 runs in game one, shut out Texas in game 2 to win both games at Pac Bell Park. San Francisco will send young left handed pitcher Jonathan Sanchez to the mound for his first ever World Series appearance. Sanchez is 0-1 in the postseason so far, with 2 no decisions. In his first start against Atlanta, he went 7.1 innings, allowing 2 hits and just 1 run in a game the Giants would later win 3-2. His next start was just six innings, losing at Philadelphia. The second time he faced the Phillies he was only able to get through two innings before the Giants manager elected to pull him. Sanchez during the regular season won 13 games and lost 9. His earned run average was just over 3.00 on the season.

Preview: Game two of the 2010 World Series will take place on Thursday night in San Francisco. The Giants won the first game on Wednesday night behind six runs in the fifth inning. San Francisco knocked out Texas’ ace Cliff Lee after just 4.2 innings. The left hander went 3-0 in his first three postseason games this season, but allowed 8 hits and 6 earned runs in the loss. The Giants offense was anchored by Freddie Sanchez’ three hits and Juan Uribe’s three runs batted on; all coming on a homerun. The Giants did not get a great outing, but saw Tim Lincecum go 5.2 innings, allowing 8 hits and 4 runs in the win.

Preview: The Fall Classic will get underway Wednesday in the bay. The Texas Rangers, winners of the American League will take on the National League Champion San Francisco Giants. The Rangers are coming off taking down the top two giants in the American League; beating Tampa Bay in five and then downing the Yankees in six. Texas ranked first in the regular season with a .276 batting average, led by MVP candidate Josh Hamilton. The outfielder hit .359 and blasted 32 homeruns on the season. Hamilton was named the American League Championship Series MVP, blasting four homeruns in the series against the Yankees. The Rangers will send lefthander Cliff Lee to the mound. Lee has been unbelievable in the postseason winning all three of his starts. After throwing 16 innings against Tampa Bay, allowing just 11 hits and 2 runs, Lee also threw 8 innings against the Yankees, allowing just 2 hits in the 8-0 shut-out win. During the regular season, Lee finished with a 12-9 record and a 3.18 earned run average. The 32 year old will be a free agent when the season ends, so he is pitching for his next contract.
New York Yankees (5-3) @ Texas Rangers (6-4)

Preview: The defending World Series Champions will look to stay alive in Arlington on Friday evening. The New York Yankees and Texas Rangers will play the sixth game of the American League Championship Series. The Rangers are ahead 3-2, but the Yankees have a little momentum winning game five at home. The Yankees will send Phil Hughes to the mound. Hughes went 18-8 with a 4.19 earned run average during the regular season. During the postseason, the 24 year old right hander is 1-1, pitching 11 innings, allowing 10 hits and 7 runs. In game two, Hughes was roughed up and took the loss.
