The Milwaukee Brewers pounded out 15 hits on San Diego Friday night to snap the Padres five game winning streak. The win for the Brewers was their third straight, after taking both in St. Louis earlier in the week.

Casey McGhee hit a homerun, and also drove in four runs to pace the Brewers. San Diego jumped on top with three runs in the first, but the Brewers countered with 2 in the first, 3 in the third, 2 in the fourth, and single tallies in the fifth, sixth and seventh.

Corey Hart finished the game with three hits, while Ryan Braun, Casey McGeheeM and Alcides Escobar added two.

The winning pitcher for the Brewers was Chris Capuano. The left hander pitched 3.2 innings of no hit ball, while striking out four and walking one. Capuano replaced start Yovani Gallardo, who struggled, allowing 6 hits and 6 runs in 3.1 innings of play. Todd Coffey and Zach Braddock got the final six outs for Milwaukee.

Wade LeBlanc took the loss for San Diego. He was chased in the fourth inning and charged with 7 hits and 7 runs. He is now 7-11 on the season.

The win for Milwaukee pushed them to 58-64 overall and 29-31 at Miller Park. The Brewers are in third place in the National League Central; 13 games behind the Cincinnati Reds.

San Diego fell to 73-48, but still hold the best record in the National League. The Padres enjoy a comfortable five game lead in the MLB National League West.
