Is Brandon Marshall Headed to the NBA?

NFL football is without a doubt the most popular sport in this country which always seem to make tons of money every single season, even in the preseason, but the most popular sport and professional league in the US could very well be headed towards a lockout after this season.

With the league possibly headed towards a lockout some players have already started to think about what they will be doing this time next year.

The one player that has openly come out and said what he intends to do if the NFL players get locked out is the Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

Like many other flamboyiant and outspoken wide receivers in the league, Brandon Marshall has no problem says what he feels and what he is thinking and that was pretty obvious recently when he said he might attempt to play in the NBA if the NFL goes through a lockout.

Even though football and basketball have almost no similarities, there are a lot of players in both the NFL and NBA that have had experience playing both basketball and football at a high level at one point or another.

LeBron James and Allen Iverson are two NBA superstars that could have very well been drafted in the NFL as King James was a huge downfield threat as a wide receiver and AI was one of the best quarterbacks in the country during his high school career.

As for players in the NFL, tight end seems to be the position with the best basketball players as Antonio Gates (San Diego Chargers) and Tony Gonzalez (Atlanta Falcons), arguably the two best players at their postion, had some success playing basketball in college.

Apparently, Marshall has what it takes to play in the NBA and believes if he does become a two sport athlete like Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson back in the day, he will try and play for either the Miami Heat or Denver Nuggets at the shooting guard position.
