England will have their hands full as they take on tournament favourites India. England must win the toss and put up a big score on the board if they are to exert any pressure on the Indians.
London Start Time: 09:00
Venue and Pitch
The match will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. A few days back, police had to be called in to keep the public in check as they fought to buy tickets for the big game on Sunday. England will feel the pressure as soon as they walk out, as the stadium will be packed to the rafters and all the crowd support will go India’s way. The pitch will be a belter, although you can expect the new ball to swing for the first 7 overs.

Team News
England’s Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann are recovering from injuries and may not have sufficient match practice on the sub-continent, which is a cause for concern. Sachin Tendulkar had an injury scare in his last game but is reported to be fine and is expected to open with Virender Sehwag.
Match Odds
India are the tournament favourites and if they play to potential should be able to win this match easily. The odds of them winning are currently (4/9). England have had a poor run of late, losing their last one day series to Australia and were almost embarrassed by the Dutch during their opening game. If they are going to win this game, they will need both James Anderson and Graeme Swann to bowl very well. They are currently at 7/4.
Top Batsman
You can expect this to be a high scoring game as the Indian battling lineup is studded with star performers including young Virat Kohli (9/2) and sheet anchor Gautam Gambhir (9/2). Swashbuckling opener Virender Sehwag has been in pristine form and is also expected to fire at the top.
For England, Kevin Pietersen is arguably still their best player but one wonders how effective he will be opening the batting. Jonathan Trott (7/2) has been in sublime form and Captain Andrew Strauss (7/2) had a good match against the Netherlands.
Featured Bet
It will be interesting to see if the Indians who amassed 370 runs in their opening match will be able to cross the 300 mark again, if they bat first. If England bat first, they will try to get atleast 275 on the board as they look to score of the likes of Yuvraj Sing and Yousuf Pathan.
Match Predictions
If Kevin Pietersen fires at the top, India will be in a spot of trouble otherwise the Indians should dominate this game and have a comfortable win.
