How to Handle Your Athletic Press Conference (Infographic)

Athletic press conferences are routinely botched. Badly. For instance, Tiger Woods’ recent press conference featured any number of problematic decisions made by his PR staff.

You could say the same thing for basically anyone who gets in trouble — it seems as if the people in charge of athletes very, very rarely know how to control their clients and keep them from doing stupider things that only serve to exacerbate their original problem.

With that in mind, here’s a handy reference guide to handling your press conference the next time you get busted driving around drunk with a needle in your arm and a dead hooker on your lap.

Here’s how Eldrick should have handled his presser–he should have shown up with one of those big gimmick oversized checks like they use on game shows and give to lottery winners. He should have had some ridiculous figure on it and have it made out to his soon to be ex-wife. He then could have strolled in with a couple of strippers, cut a promo about how he’s the best golfer in the world and doesn’t need to play by your rules. That would have been badass…

And ironically, the captcha for this comment was ‘dinky arrests’

hahaha, ESPN should post that chart. great stuff. I just stumbled on this website, read 2 posts and you’re definitely 2 for 2. I couldn’t help myself to writing something about Tiger either, and for shamelessly plugging my own blog
