Nobody could remain unmoved in the face of the horrific scenes coming out of Haiti after the terrible earthquake that ravaged the country last month, least of all us at SportsUntapped.com. With nearly a quarter of a million dead, vital services cut off and a dire shortage of water, food, shelter and medical supplies, we knew that we had to take action.

This great response team really impressed us with its mission of helping those in desperate need of their assistance and the way in which they tackle the huge problems facing the residents of Port-au-Prince and other affected areas of Haiti.

The Mercy Corps have already helped the people affected by Hurricane Katrina and have traveled the width and breadth of the globe to every imaginable continent to offer their assistance where disaster strikes.
