David Stern was not impressed with Gilbert Arenas’ not-so-funny joke he played on teammate Javaris Crittenton.

Really, busting out your gat on someone is no laughing matter… and I have a pretty good sense of humor.

Commissioner Stern suspended Arenas without pay Wednesday for an indefinite amount of time, saying that the Washington Wizards’ guard’s recent behavior was not “fit to take the court.” Arenas, who also admitted being more afraid of Stern than the cops since the commissioner is so “mean”,  is under investigation by federal and local authorities after  he admitted to bringing guns into the Wizards’ locker room at the Verizon Center.

“The possession of firearms by an NBA player in an NBA arena is a matter of the utmost concern to us,” Stern said.

Agent Zero is losing about $147,200 of the $16.2 million he will earn this season with each game he misses. I’m just guessing here, but I’m fairly certain this is not the 28th birthday present he was hoping for.
