In one of the most bizarre cross-sport promotions of our lifetimes, the terrible New Jersey Nets (12-70) and the terrible Florida Panthers (32-37-13) are joining forces because they both have the number 3 pick in their respective leagues’ upcoming drafts and because executives of both franchises are twin brothers.  Twin brothers who have lead their respective teams into draft lottery position, but who are unlucky enough to actually win said lotteries.

The promotion: a contest that will award two fans (each with a guest) with trips to the NBA and NHL drafts, plus all-expense paid trips to Nets home and away games and to Panthers home and away games next season.  The trips to both drafts sounds especially brutal since the NBA draft is June 24 in New York, and the June 25 draft is the next night in Los Angeles.
