On the eve of Dallas’ game against the LA Galaxy in the MLS semi finals, most thought that Dallas had almost no chance of making it to the final. But with the help of three goals from 3 different players and some admittedly lackadaisical defense by the Galaxy the team from the South moves on to face to Rapids in the MLS Cup Final.

Goals from David Arturo Ferreira (25th minute), Geroge John (53rd minute), and Marvin Chavez (72nd minute) were all that was needed in a rout of the galaxy in front of their home fans. The Galaxy had a very successful season finishing the regular season with the most points and atop the West table. All those accolades were enough to convince most people that they would have little in the way of competition on their way to a championship, but FC Dallas had different ideas.

The Dallas side came out strong and resilient, they strung passes together superbly and made the all-star Galaxy side look unorganized and mentally out of it by half time. And with the start of the second half brought the unleashing of the floodgates. A 3-0 scoreline is beyond what most people had expected out of this game, but FC Dallas players and fans could not be more satisfied.
