Look up the John Wall Dance on YouTube, and you’ll find over 15,000 videos in the results. Granted, they aren’t all different versions of said dance, but the point remains: It’s a popular little craze going on. Hell, even the ESPN Gameday crew showed their John Wall moves. However, seeing University of Louisville students getting in on the fun isn’t quite what you’d expect.

I mean, we don’t see Kentucky fans running around in white, Colonel Sanders suits to show their “support” for Rick Pitino, now do you?

Anyway, what would cause a group of potential Kentucky haters to do the dance of the enemy’s most popular player? The Haiti disaster. So while it’s for a good cause, it’s still funny to see at least some Cardinals fans dance like John Wall.

As you would expect, one of the dance “organizers” is a die-hard Kentucky fan, and he offered some comments about this momentous occasion:

If you’re a die-hard UK fan and wish to write this off because it is at the campus of UofL think of me. I am Ryan Williams, I never go a day without my UK gear on, and sport the Big Blue Nation in the sea of red every day, but this is more than that, this is an opportunity to give back. Our hope is anyone wishing to donate money to help raise the funds gathered, or who would like to give a sponsorship or donate items for the raffle to help the success of such event may have the opportunity.

Ryan’s motivations are understandable, but what compelled others the Louisville chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity to join in?

That, friends, is the mystery. Is Ryan passion for UK infecting other Louisville students? If so, how will the powers-that-be who oversee the Cardinals brand react? Will Tom Jurich — Louisville’s AD — institute a school-wide ban on all things John Wall? Who knows, maybe Ryan can get Pitino and Jurich on the John Wall Dance bandwagon as well.

Now that’s a picture that would speak well over a thousand words.

Whatever the case, you can’t stop the John Wall Dance, and at this point, I’d say containment is out of the question, as well.
