Eric Bledsoe is Better At Finishing Alley-Oops Than You

Eric Bledsoe is a 6-foot tall stick of dynamite who looks like he was carved out of marble.  Oh, and he’s a pretty good basketball player as well.

In fact, Billy Donovan thinks he’s every bit as good as — if not better than — John Wall, the Kentucky freshman the sporting world is so in love with.  Adding to his out-of-Wall’s-shadow growing legend was an awesome alley-oop finish during Kentucky’s win against Ole Miss, one that almost defied the Laws of Gravity.

See, normal oops usually don’t involve the defending player deflecting the pass, which directly led to a two-handed reserve layup finish from Bledsoe.

Yeah, not the norm. Observe:

So good, ESPN made it the play of the day, which again, is not usual for a what amounts to a layup. In fact, Bledsoe’s oop finish got the nod ahead of Jamine Peterson’s nasty self alley-oop, and that’s a testament to just how good of a play Kentucky’s “other guard” made.

In other news, if last night’s play was any indication, it’s safe to say the John Wall/Calipari “tiff” is officially over.
