Dwaun Anderson Will Be Dunking At a School Near You

Even though I’m responsible for the “Is Stanley Robinson the Best Dunker” post, I’ve long held a belief that most of the best college basketball dunkers are in smaller colleges. Following that rationale, the Dayton Flyers may be getting a player to take the place of current high-flier, Chris Wright.

Introducing Dwaun Anderson, a high school junior from Suttons Bay, Michigan. As indicated, Anderson is being heavily recruited by the Dayton Flyers, and if the following video is a sign of things to come, I’d expect some of the bigger schools to take a look at him.

Currently, Anderson’s two biggest recruiters are Michigan State and Michigan. Anyway, the reason I’m even talking about a high school junior — no, my name is not Lane Kiffin or Billy Gillispie — is because of a ridiculously-sick dunk against an poor soul who was trying to draw a charge.

Yeah, to the fellow who tried to take the charge: Perhaps next time, you might want to concede the dunk instead of offering yourself up as poster bait.

It should be noted that Anderson is listed as 6-3 (making the poster victim about 5-8), and with such eye-popping athleticism, I have little doubt we’ll be hearing more about him when his collegiate career starts. Expect to see Anderson on a campus near you in the fall of 2011.

“tried to take the charge”? Can’t you see the ref calling off the basket and indicating an offensive foul on Anderson. Anderson may have accumulated plenty of show on the play, but bottom line is the defender won; no score and an offensive foul.
