Super Bowl XLVII Odds After Week Seven

The Houston Texans and New England Patriots both won at home last week, but the Texans dominated the Ravens while the Patriots needed overtime to beat the Jets.  The Texans and Pats were co-favorites to win the Super Bowl last week, but after Sunday’s action the Texans have pulled in front again as the sole favorite.

The San Francisco 49ers remain the favorite to represent the NFC in the Big Game, but the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers are gaining fast. At the other end of the spectrum, the Jacksonville Jaguars are the darkest dark horse of all for the second straight week.

Here are your current Super Bowl XLVII odds for all 32 NFL teams:

  • 1. Houston Texans +500 to win the Super Bowl, +200 to win the AFC (Last Week: T1): 6-1 after a 30-point home thrashing of the Ravens

Super Bowl XLVII Odds After Week Six

After a week of dramatic upsets, there are now co-favorites to win the Super Bowl. After three weeks alone as the sole favorite, the Houston Texans are sharing the top expectations with the New England Patriots, while the San Francisco 49ers remain the favorites to come out of the NFC. All three of those squads lost last week, with the Texans and Niners getting dominated at home by the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants respectively, while the Patriots blew a 13-point lead in Seattle.

There’s also been a change at the bottom — after getting their first win last week, the Cleveland Browns are no longer the longest long shot.  The Jacksonville Jaguars now have that dubious distinction.

Here are your current Super Bowl XLVII odds for all 32 NFL teams:

Monday Night Football: Broncos @ Chargers

It’s a battle for AFC West supremacy on Monday Night Football as Phillip Rivers and the 3-2 San Diego Chargers host Peyton Manning and the 2-3 Denver Broncos. A primetime win for the Chargers would essentially give them an early 2.5-game lead over the Broncos, but if Denver prevails the two clubs would be tied for first place in the division through six games.

SPREAD: Broncos +1
MONEY LINE: Broncos +105, Chargers -125
OVER/UNDER: 49

Last week, the Broncos were six-point road underdogs and lost 31-21 in New England. Denver has failed to cover in its two road games this season, and is 2-3 ATS overall. The Chargers also failed to cover last week, falling by seven in New Orleans on Sunday Night Football as 3.5-point road underdogs. San Diego is 1-1 ATS at home and 3-2 ATS overall.

Sunday Night NFL: Packers @ Texans

This week’s Sunday Night Football matchup features two teams seemingly headed in different directions. The Green Bay Packers nearly went undefeated last season, but already have three losses in their first five games this season, including a stunning road loss to the Indianapolis Colts last week. The Packers travel further South this week to face the undefeated Houston Texans, the current Super Bowl favorites.

SPREAD: Packers +3.5
MONEY LINE: Packers +165, Texans -190
OVER/UNDER: 47.5

The loss in Indianapolis dropped the Packers to 2-3 overall and 1-4 against the spread this season, including 0-2 overall and 0-3 ATS on the road. The Texans are coming off a short week after beating the Jets 23-17 on Monday Night Football, but failing to cover for the first time this season after entering that game as 9.5-point road favorites.
