Bellator kicks off it’s new season on March 9 with a killer title fight. Joe Warren will battle Pat Curran for the featherweight championship.
Curran has a slight edge in that he won’t have to travel far for this bout. He trains with cousin and UFC fighter Jeff Curran at Team Curran in Crystal Lake, IL. He’s currently listed as -350 for this fight, and even at that number I love Curran. I think he will knock out Warren early in this fight. I can see Curran dropping Warren with either a power right, or even with a knee as Warren shoots in for a take down.
Either way, Curran is the pick and it’s great to have Bellator back for a new season.
Legacy Fighting Championship 10 took place on Friday night, and HDNet viewers were treated to an excellent event.
The standout moment of the night came when Rey Trujillo floored Munil Adriano just :24 into the first round with a brilliant ‘Superman’ punch.

UFC vets Gerald Harris and Pat Audinwood both won their bouts, as did TUF contestant Carson Beebe, who moved to 10-1 as a pro. UFC fighter Anthony Njokuani’s brother Chidi used some devastating knees to beat hometown favorite Jon Harris.
Trujillo scored his 10th pro win, and his second straight, courtesy of his ‘Superman’ moment.
The UFC has taken their signature reality show “The Ultimate Fighter” over to FX, and giving it a makeover with a brand new format. The action — and antics — inside the house will still be pre-produced, but the weekly fights will all air live on FX, something the show has never done before.
Here’s a look at the new “I Am” promo for the show, which kicks off season 15 on March 9 with coaches Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz.
UFC light heavyweight Ryan Bader explains why he took the fight with Rampage Jackson at UFC 144, how his training is going and what a win over Rampage would mean for his career.
Bader currently sits at +205 for the fight. There’s a lot of nostalgia for Rampage fighting in Japan, and Bader lost 2 straight fights before knocking out Jason Brilz at UFC 139 in November.
But if Rampage comes into this fight out of shape and doesn’t take care of Bader early on, it could be trouble for the MMA legend. Bader could then land takedowns and work on Rampage from there. That’s Bader’s best hope, as Rampage has not been KO’d since 2005.
