Thiago Santos Cornholes Eric Prindle

You certainly don’t see this every day. After a takedown, Eric Prindle lays on the ground looking for a chance to get back on his feet and Thiago Santos perfectly places his foot right in his rectum.

Prindle lay writhing in pain and told officials he thought he was going to puke. After his 5-minute recovery period ended. Prindle could not continue fighting and the bout was ruled a ‘No Contest’. Santos actually thought it was a legal strike. Afterward he demonstrated to referee Greg Franklin (UFC fighter Rich’s brother) where he was aiming, with Franklin explaining it was still an illegal strike.

This bout was for the Bellator heavyweight tournament championship, so they will fight again sometime in early 2012.

Yankees Re-Sign Freddy Garcia

The New York Yankees have decided to bring back starting pitcher Freddy Garcia, signing the 35-year-old veteran to a one-year deal worth between $4 and $5 million. Last season was Garcia’s first with the Yankees, and he had a base salary of $1.5 million, but earned over $3 million by reaching incentives. The Yankees offered Garcia arbitration on Wednesday night and quickly reached the new deal.

Last season, Garcia started 25 games and appeared once in relief, going 12-8 with a 3.62 ERA. He started one playoff game, taking the loss at home after allowing three unearned runs in 5.1 innings in Game 2 of the American League Divisional Series against the Detroit Tigers.

The New York Daily News reports Garcia had two-year deals being offered by other teams, but felt like returning to the Yankees represented his best shot at winning a World Series.

Bubba Watson Two Back At Australian PGA After 36 Holes

Bubba Watson had the lead for most of Friday’s second round of the Australian PGA Championship, but after a three-putt bogey on the final hole he heads into the weekend alone in second place, two shots behind leader Marcus Fraser. K.T. Kim was alone in third, three off the lead, and pre-tournament favorite Adam Scott was another shot back in a tie for fourth with Y.E. Yang, John Senden and Robert Allenby.

Fraser saved a bogey-free second round with a 20-foot par putt on 17, finishing the day with a 7-under 65. Not bad coming back from a nasty neck injury. “At one point I had lost pretty much all of the use of my right arm towards the end of last year and start of this year,” said Fraser, a European Tour regular. “If I hadn’t had the operation there was no way I would have played again, so it was a pretty easy decision to make.”

McIlroy and McDowell Give Ireland Share of World Cup Lead

Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell combined for a 4-under 68 in Friday’s alternate shot foursomes to tie Australia’s Brendan Jones and Richard Green for first place at golf’s World Cup in China. The tournament features pairs of golfers representing 28 countries with Thursday and Saturday fourballs rounds and Friday and Sunday foursomes rounds.

McDowell, who won the 2010 US Open, gave most of the credit for the Irish team’s success to his partner Rory, the 2011 US Open champ. “We struggled to find our rhythm a little bit on the front nine,” said McDowell. “Rory putted really well today, which kept things together. I’ve struggled a little bit on the greens the last couple of days. But I was happy the way I swung the club in general and Rory is playing lovely.”
