UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson Free Picks

Here is the preview video for UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson, followed by our free picks for the main card.

Matt Wiman -215 vs. Mac Danzig +175
Danzig may be the more technical fighter, but Wiman is faster and stronger. Danzig is looking to avenge his UFC 115 loss to Wiman, and is coming off an impressive KO of Joe Stevenson. Even so, I still like Wiman. Take Wiman -215.

Anthony Johnson -205 vs. Charlie Brenneman +165

“The Spainiard” has won 2 straight, including a very impressive performance against Rick Story. But Johnson has sick power and speed to boot. I don’t like this matchup in any way for Brenneman. I think that if goes the distance he’s in trouble, and if doesn’t Johnson will likely win by KO. Take Johnson -205.

2011 World Series Odds & 2011 MLB Division Series Odds

Less than 48 hours after perhaps the craziest final day of the baseball regular season ever, the playoffs begin. The Phillies are favored to win it all, and the Yankees are favored to represent the American League in the 2011 World Series. However, while the Phillies are the biggest favorites to win their first series, the Yankees are the most likely team to get upset.

We have the odds for all the playoff openers, all the first round series, and the odds of each of the eight playoff teams reaching and winning the 2011 World Series:

American League Division Series Odds

The Rangers are -180 favorites to win Game 1, with C.J. Wilson facing Devil Rays rookie Matt Moore, and Texas is -170 favorites to win the series.

Which 3-0 Teams Will Lose in Week Four?

We’re only three weeks into the 2011 NFL season, and there are only three undefeated teams left in the entire league. If you knew that two of them were going to be the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, you are a bad liar or seriously deranged. The third, the Green Bay Packers, are surprising only in showing few signs of a Super Bowl hangover. So which of these three will make it to 4-0?

The Packers certainly seem like the biggest lock as 13-point favorites at home against the 1-2 Denver Broncos. Sure the Packers trailed early on the road against Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, but even Tim Tebow probably can’t miraculously guide the Broncos to a win at Lambeau.  I’d be much less surprised to see the Packers win by four touchdowns than to lose this week.
