Preview: The Denver Broncos will look to snap their two game losing streak in Nashville, against the Tennessee Titans. Denver lost their season opener at Jacksonville, but came back with a home win over Seattle. Denver fell to Indianapolis at home on Sunday. Through three games this season, the Broncos are throwing for 350 yards, which is the best in the NFL. Kyle Orton has thrown for four touchdowns on the season, while running back Knowshon Moreno has rushed for two touchdowns. The Broncos are tied with the Chargers and Raiders at the bottom of the AFC West; trailing Kansas City.

With four days left in the regular season, the four American League playoff teams are set, but the matchups are not. While the New York Yankees will likely be the wild card and have to win two series on the road to make it back to the World Series, Vegas has the Bronx Bombers as +150 favorites to repeat as American League champions. Here’s a slightly premature look at all four teams.

New York Yankees (+150 to win AL, +300 to win World Series)

The Yankees would start the playoffs at Minnesota as the wild card, or at home against the Rangers as AL East champs.  Here’s their head-to-head record against the other three playoff teams:

• vs. Twins: 5-2 overall, 3-1 on the road
• vs. Rangers:  4-4 overall, 2-1 at home
• vs. Devil Rays 8-10 overall, 4-5 on the road

It’s hard to believe that we’re already heading into week 4 of the NFL season, but like always, time flies during NFL season. This week we have two solid picks that should be cashed at the betting windows this Sunday. I’ve also predicted how I think the other games will go, but I’ve only done research on the two best bets. We have a nice mixture of favourites and underdogs this week, which doesn’t scare me considering how well underdogs have been doing this season.

There was heavy rain in Wales on Wednesday, and it is expected to continue through all three days of the 2010 Ryder Cup, which starts Friday. While the European Team waited for the sun to come out in the afternoon before going out on the course to practice, Team USA captain Corey Pavin had his team sloshing around in the worst of it to try to gain an edge.

For Pavin, the nasty weather was a blessing for his team. “The more chances we get to see the golf course in different conditions, the better off it is for us,” said the American captain. It also gave Rickie Fowler, the youngest member of the American team, a good excuse to bust out a ridiculous Gilligan-style bucket hat.
