The two teams have met 128 times in the past with India winning 67 games, Sri Lanka 50 and there were 11 no results. India vs. England – 2011 Cricket World Cup Preview

England will have their hands full as they take on tournament favourites India. England must win the toss and put up a big score on the board if they are to exert any pressure on the Indians.

London Start Time: 09:00

Venue and Pitch
The match will take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. A few days back, police had to be called in to keep the public in check as they fought to buy tickets for the big game on Sunday. England will feel the pressure as soon as they walk out, as the stadium will be packed to the rafters and all the crowd support will go India’s way. The pitch will be a belter, although you can expect the new ball to swing for the first 7 overs.

2011 ICC Cricket World Cup Preview: Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan

Sri Lanka will be playing at home and are clearly the more consistent team. That being said, the most un-predictable team in this World Cup is Pakistan and if they play as a unit, there is no reason why they cannot beat Sri Lanka.

London Start Time: 09:00

Venue and Pitch
The Sri Lankan board has recently renovated the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo at a cost of $8 million. In the past, the side batting first always had the upper hand as the dew factor and poor lighting conditions made it difficult to chase. All that’s changed as the stadium has new lights and a revamped pitch. You can expect a sellout crowd on Saturday as fans will come in from all over the country to support their home team.

2011 Cricket World Cup Preview: Bangladesh vs. Ireland

Billed as the battle of the minnows, Bangladesh hold the upper hand as they have the advantage of playing at home. The Irish will definitely begin to feel the heat and pressure, as this is probably their best chance of a winning a game in the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

London Start Time: 08:30

Venue and Pitch
Bangladesh will play in front of a packed stadium and the home crowd support will cause them to lift their game. The track at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka will favor the spinners and the Irish batsmen will find it hard to score against a quality spin attack. The team that wins the toss will most likely bat first as the dew factor will come into play during the second innings.
