Could The Nets Win This Weekend?

Here’s one for you philosophy nerds out there: If an NBA game is played in New Jersey and no one is there to watch it, is it really even played?

The New Jersey Nets are certainly due for a win, and what better chance do they have than against the New York Knicks this Saturday when the rivals meet up at the IZOD Center in what is sure to be the crappiest match-up of the season.

Maybe even the decade.

Of the 12 games the Nets have played so far, guess how many they’ve won? Zero. So, probability says they’re due. It’s math, you guys!

On the other hand, the Knicks are off to the worst start in franchise history at 2-9, which is almost as sucky, but not quite. I guess that means they’re due as well. The Knicks did beat the Nets three times in the preseason, so I bet they’re feeling pretty good about now.

I guess that would make New York the “favorite” …if there is such a thing in a game like this.
