Calgary heads to the All Star break on four game winning streak

The Calgary Flames ended the first half of their 2010 – 2011 season with a four game winning streak. The Flames scored a first period goal, two in the second period, and another in the third, to down the St. Louis Blues 4-1.

Calgary played in front of a sold-out crowd t their Scotiabank Saddledome. The goal scorers for the Flames were David Moss, Adam Pardy and Jarome Iginla. Moss scored the first two goals of the game for the Flames. St. Louis also lost their fourth straight game. In the loss, the Blues received a goal from Phillip McRae.

Miika Kiprusoff saved 28 of 29 shots for the Flames.

The Flames are now 24-21-6 on the season. Calgary’s 54 points are just two behind the 7th and 8th seed in the Western Conference. With the loss for the Blues, they remain at 51 points; 5 points back of the final postseason spot.
