Braylon Edwards will never be mistaken for Jerry Rice. To put it bluntly, the man’s hands must be dipped in cooking oil. It’s the only explanation for all the easy catches he has flat out dropped throughout his erratic NFL career.

Well, Braylon picked a fine time to pull his head from his posterior and come up huge in a huge game. In today’s Jets-Colts AFC title tilt, Edwards got behind the Colts defense, gained a couple steps on some cornerback named Lacey, and hauled in a beautiful 80-yard rainbow from Mark Sanchez and scurried into the end zone for six.

Needless to say, it was a pretty big play.
