
The Boston Bruins won their fourth straight game on Saturday night going into Vancouver and downing the Canucks. Milan Lucic, who is from Vancouver scored the game winning goal against his hometown team. Lucic scored at the 15:22 mark of the third period to put the Bruins ahead 2-1. Patrice Bergeron scored an empty net goal with just over a minute to go, with an assist from Lucic to end the game 3-1.
The Bruins are now 35-19-7 on the season. Boston is the leader in their division, which places them at third place in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins would host the Montreal Canadiens in the first round if the postseason started today.
The Canucks fell to 39-15-9 on the season for 87 points. That places the Canucks just one point ahead of the Philadelphia Flyers for the most points in all of hockey. Vancouver leads Detroit by five points for the lead in the Western Conference.
