Boston Continues Dominance Over Miami

The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat for the third time this season on Sunday. Boston overtook Miami for the best record in the Eastern Conference with a 85-82 win over the Heat. The Celtics were led by a triple-double from their point guard Rajon Rondo.

Kevin Garnett also scored 19 points for Boston, while Kendrick Perkins topped his season high with 15. The Celtics win was their 12th in their last 13 battles with Miami. Last season the Celtics beat the Heat four out of five in the postseason.

The loss for Miami snapped their winning streak. The Heat still sit five games ahead of both Orlando and Atlanta for the top spot in the Southeast Division. Miami was led by big man Chris Bosh, who scored 24 points and ripped down 10 rebounds.

The Celtics will host the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday, and then head out for one of their longest road trips of the season. Miami heads to Indiana on Tuesday, and makes a stop in Toronto on Wednesday, before hosting the Kings on February 22nd.
