It took two tries but engineers finally figured out how to dye the fountain at Chicago’s Daley Plaza blood red in support of the local hockey team’s postseason run.  The first attempt left the water hot pink, which is not one of the official colors of the Chicago Blackhawks.

The stick-to-it-iveness of the engineers has left the fountain looking like something out of The Shining, and so far it’s gotten the Blackhawks to a 1-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals over the Philadelphia Flyers.
