Best NFL Week 17 Picks Against the Spread

With this being the last week of the season there will be several teams sitting key players and it’s important to make sure you know who’s playing and who’s not playing this week. Several teams have already announced that their QB’s may only play 1-2 series including the Patriots, Eagles, Jets and the Chiefs. Chicago has said that Cutler is going to play the entire game, but don’t be surprised if they take him out at halftime. In this article you will find our top picks against the spread during week 17. We also have an article with complete NFL Week 17 picks.

Oakland Raiders +3.5 over Kansas City Chiefs

Oakland and Kansas are one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL, but this game isn’t going to be overly exciting in my opinion. Cassel is expected to sit-out this game since the Chiefs have already locked up their division. Oakland has been eliminated from the playoffs already, but they should still want to end the season on a high note and the best way to do that would be by upsetting the Chiefs in Kansas City. The Chiefs haven’t lost at home all season, but without their QB they don’t seem to click offensively. Look for Oakland to try and pound the ball all game and the end season with a .500 record (8-8).

Chicago Bears +10.5 over Green Bay Packers

Chicago plays the Packers this week at Lambeau in a huge rivalry game, but I’m not sure what to expect from this game yet. Chicago mentioned on ESPN today that they’re preparing like it’s any other week. Chicago has already clinched their division, but they could possibly help their cause in the playoffs by beating the Packers this weekend. If Chicago beats the Packers this week and the Giants win, the Giants would make it into the playoffs and not the Packers. I’m really not sure who’s going to win this game because it could go either way depending on how long the Bears play their starters, but I’ll bite at the +10.5 spread. If the Bears can get up on the Packers by 7-10 at half they may sit their players, but the spread should still cover even if they end up losing the game.

Tennessee Titans +10 over Indianapolis Colts

These two teams just played each other and the Colts won the game by 2 points when the spread was –2.5, which I’m sure some of you remember vividly. The Titans scored a meaningless TD at the end of the game to blow the cover and that could definitely happen again in this game. The Colts absolutely need to win this game in order to make the playoffs, but that’s also going to be motivation for the Titans in my opinion. Tennessee has looked horrible this season, but they do seem to play good against teams in their division. I don’t think the Colts should be favoured by this many points at this point in the season after watching how bad they’ve been. I think Indy is going to win this game, but I don’t think they’re going to win the game by 10 points.
