We are always looking for talented sports writers to join our ever growing team here at SportsUntapped.com. If you have a talent for writing and enjoy following sports we would love to have you on as a writer.
The Basics:
SportsUntapped is a sports news site focusing on English content so we are currently only looking for writers that are able to produce English articles. In order to become a writer you need to have a good written English so that people who are reading your articles understand what message you are trying to get across.
This site is running on the WordPress blog platform so it is important that you have knowledge on how to use this platform or at least have an interest to learn about it. We will provide you with all the information you need in order to become a full feathered blogger in no time.
The Content:
Swearing in your articles is fine but it should be used in moderation so that people are able to take you seriously.
If you are able to write funny or sarcastic articles we are all for that, we enjoy having articles on this site that makes people laugh.
Our site is reporting the news in a blog like fashion which means that we aren’t looking for articles that are just a re-write of another news article from the New York Times or some other fancy newspaper. You need to be able to come up with your own interesting topics and don’t be afraid to get your own personal views and opinions in your articles.
The Sports:
We are mainly looking for writers to cover MLB, NFL, NHL, NBA, MMA/UFC, Horse Racing, CFL, NCAAF, NCAAB, Golf, Tennis or Soccer. But if you feel there is a sports missing on this site that you would like to start covering for us then we are all for it so don’t hesitate to apply for the writing job just because the sports of your choice is currently not represented on the site.
The Compensation:
You didn’t think we would just try to get writers without paying them did you? We have implemented a new compensation scheme in which you can earn up to $100 each month as a writer. The compensation amount is based on the popularity of your articles and you can find more information about this on our compensation for writers page.
