Last week we went 6-5-2 in the games that we predicted along with 1-1 on our best bets. It was a fairly good week and although a few of the underdogs I picked couldn’t hang on late in the game, it was a profitable week. This week there are still a few spreads that haven’t been released yet, but we’re going to predict the games that have spreads. Last week was another interesting week with the 49’ers finally getting their first win and Big Ben making a spectacular return.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats (7-7) travel up the QEW tonight to play the Toronto Argonauts (7-7) in a game that is sure to be one of the biggest games of the entire CFL season. Both teams are tied in the East Division right now for 2nd place and the winner of this game will take over the sole lead. Since Hamilton has the tiebreaker over the Argonauts already locked up it makes the game slightly more important for the Argonauts.

Both teams managed to win last week, which kept them at a deadlock in the standings. Hamilton beat Edmonton 36-11 thanks in large part to the 3 TD passes from Glenn. Cobb ran the ball 16 times in the game for 1 TD, but was held to only 49 yards. The entire offence did a great job protecting the ball though, which ensured the Eskimos wouldn’t have short field opportunities. Arland Bruce was easily the best receiver on the Ti-Cats, as he caught 6 passes for 142 yards and 1 TD.

Last week we lost both of our best bets and I’ve spent a lot of time ensuring that I try and pick at least 1 right this week. Underdogs have been winning for the most part this season and I need to keep an eye on them more in the next few weeks. There are no teams left in the league that are undefeated, but there are still two teams (Panthers & Bills) that haven’t won a game. This is finally the week we’ll get to see Big Ben back from his suspension and he’ll be playing against rookie QB Colt McCoy. I’ve decided to try taking more underdogs this week based on my research and feel that I’m in for a better week this Sunday.

B.C. Lions (5-9) will be playing against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (3-10) in the 2nd game today. It isn’t the match-up most Canadians wanted to be watching while they eat their turkey dinners, but it’s definitely better then no game. I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving today and having a great time watching the Alouettes beat-up on the Stampeders. This is a really important game for the Blue Bombers, as they can kiss their playoff chances goodbye if they lose today at home.

The Lions beat the Blue Bombers last week in a low scoring affair that featured great defence and plenty of FG’s. Hopefully today’s game proves to be a little more exciting then last week’s match-up or else we might be in for a snooze fest. Jyles completed 21 of 37 passing attempts last week for 258 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT while Lulay completed 21 of 33 passes for 237 yards. Both QB’s also ran the ball a few times although Lulay surprisingly won the running battle. Lulay ran the ball 9 times for 57 yards and 1 TD while Jyles ran the ball 2 times for 20 yards and 1 fumble.
