While MMA is safer than most casual observers think, it does have its scary moments. This is one of them. Akin Duran met Rustam Khabilov at M-1 Challenge 18 in the Netherlands, and was knocked out cold in an unusual fashion.

Interestingly enough, I don’t see that any record that Duran has fought after this brutal knockout.
