We have all heard about the high priced NBA free agents that will be available this summer to the highest bidder like the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, the Toronto Raptors Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, but some of these players might get traded elsewhere before this summer like the Phoenix Suns Amare Stoudemire.
This will be one of the first free agent markets in the NBA with very big names in the league neglecting to sign an extension and try and see their worth on the open market. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James will without a doubt get the bulk of the interest throughout the league and without a doubt the biggest money of any other free agents this summer, unless Kobe Bryant choses not to sign an extension with the Los Angeles Lakers, but Chris Bosh and Amare Stoudemire will be the two other big names that will go for less money and could possibly be traded before the February 18th NBA trade deadline.
The Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh has been in the headlines as of late being connected with the Los Angeles Lakers in a trade that would send young center Andrew Bynum to Canada along with a couple role players in exchange Bosh, but the trade rumors have started to die down.
The Phoenix Suns forward/center Amare Stoudemire on the other hand, who was just voted into the All-Star game as the starting center in the Western Conference, could be on his way out of Arizona quicker than he anticipated.
So far this season the Phoenix Suns have been pretty impressive as point guard Steve Nash is in the running for possibly his third NBA MVP and the Suns are back to their run and gun offense, but despite their solid start to the season, Phoenix is thinking about getting some value for Amare before he becomes a free agent by trading him now.
Here are the possible destinations for Amare Stoudemire:
Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavs are arguably the best team in the NBA right now and seem to be destine for another run at an NBA title, but they are still looking for another superstar, besides Shaq, to play alongside LeBron James to convince him to sign and extension and get Cleveland closer to winning an NBA title.
Stoudemire would without doubt be that missing piece to the puzzle, but would the Phoenix Suns be satisfied with what they would get in return?
Miami Heat
Much like LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat are trying to find that missing piece to make a championship caliber team and the addition of Amare would definitely be that piece!
Chicago Bulls
The Chicago Bulls have been hot and cold this season and really suffered with the loss of Ben Gordon in the offseason, but they have a good young core of players to build around and would like to bring in Stoudemire to lead this young team.
All season long the Bulls have been shopping Tyrus Thomas and trading him along with some other role players to get Stoudemire would be ideal to say the least.
Other teams interested: Golden State Warriors, New Jersey Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers
