With the first spring training pretend games already under way, it’s time to sneak a peek at the odds for all 30 teams to reach the 2012 World Series.  This year’s preseason outlook features familiar favorites with the Philadelphia Phillies favored to win it all and the New York Yankees favored to win the American League pennant, despite both teams being eliminated in the first round of the playoffs last fall.

The least likely World Series matchup of all, according to oddsmakers, would be the Houston Astros facing this year’s darkest dark horse, the Baltimore Orioles.  After the Phillies and Yankees, the teams with the next best chance to claim baseball’s biggest prize are the two winners of the offseason Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder sweepstakes, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Detroit Tigers.
