Some of the European Tour’s brightest stars will be playing in Dubai this week, where Rory McIlroy is the betting favorite to win the 2012 Omega Dubai Desert Classic. Oddsmakers see former World Number One Martin Kaymer of Germany as Rory’s stiffest competition, followed closely by another former Number One, England’s Lee Westwood.
The field also features defending champion Alvaro Quiros of Spain. Rory won this event in 2009, and other former winners in the field include Miguel Angel Jimenez and Thomas Bjorn. South Africa’s George Coetzee has the best odds of any golfer from outside Europe.
Here are your 2012 Omega Dubai Desert Classic Odds for all the top competitors:
- Rory Mcilroy, Northern Ireland (World Ranking: 2) 4/1 – Won 2009 Omega Dubai Desert Classic
