With the NFL regular season fast approaching, we at SportsUntapped are taking our crystal balls out of storage and examining each team’s full 16-game schedule to prognosticate how the 2011 season will play out. We’ll look at all 32 teams and reveal each one’s final record. Next up: Jason Campbell and the Oakland Raiders, who will look to build on last year’s perfect record against the AFC West.

Oakland Raiders

Last year’s record: 8-8.

Vegas Over/Under on 2011 Regular Season Wins: 6.5.

First four games:
Sept. 12 at Denver, 10:15 p.m.
Sept. 18 at Buffalo, 1 p.m.
Sept. 25 N.Y. Jets, 4:05 p.m.
Oct. 2 New England, 4:15 p.m.

There will be a lot of pressure on the Raiders to start well on the road with the Jets and Patriots looming in Weeks 3 and 4. Best bet is a 1-3 record after four games.

Second four games:
Oct. 9 at Houston, 1 p.m.
Oct. 16 Cleveland, 4:05 p.m.
Oct. 23 Kansas City, 4:05 p.m.
Oct. 30 BYE
Nov. 6 Denver, 4:05 p.m.

It will be awfully tough for the Raiders to go 6-0 against their division again, and a trip to Houston won’t be a picnic either. They’ll probably get two wins to get to 3-5 at the midway point.

First four games of the second half:
Nov. 10 at San Diego, 8:20 p.m.
Nov. 20 at Minnesota, 1 p.m.
Nov. 27 Chicago, 4:05 p.m.
Dec. 4 at Miami, 1 p.m.

It’s hard to see more than two wins here either, so that puts Oakland at 5-7 after 12 games.

Last four games:
Dec. 11 at Green Bay, 1 p.m.
Dec. 18 Detroit, 4:05 p.m.
Dec. 24 at Kansas City, 1 p.m.
Jan. 1 San Diego, 4:15 p.m.

Give them the win at home over the Lions and maybe one more, but they’ll still be back to a losing record at 7-9.
