Sri Lanka will be playing at home and are clearly the more consistent team. That being said, the most un-predictable team in this World Cup is Pakistan and if they play as a unit, there is no reason why they cannot beat Sri Lanka.
London Start Time: 09:00
Venue and Pitch
The Sri Lankan board has recently renovated the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo at a cost of $8 million. In the past, the side batting first always had the upper hand as the dew factor and poor lighting conditions made it difficult to chase. All that’s changed as the stadium has new lights and a revamped pitch. You can expect a sellout crowd on Saturday as fans will come in from all over the country to support their home team.
Team News
Sri Lanka will field all their star players. The same cannot be said of Pakistan, who have lost Mohammed Amir, Salman Butt and Mohammed Asif to the match fixing scandal. Shoaib Akhtar, the ageing Rawalpindi express will be expected to lead the attack and make early inroads into a strong Sri Lankan batting line-up.
Match Odds
Based on the ICC rankings, Sri Lanka is ahead of Pakistan on the points table. They are expected to bag this game and the odds of them winning are 1/2. However, do not be surprised if Pakistan win this game as they are coming of a series win against New Zealand and have a talented bunch of players. The odds on them winning are currently set at 13/8.
Top Batsman
Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad is expected to fire at the top and has a 9/2 rating along with wicket-keeper batsmen Kamran Akmal. Keep your eye on Abdul Razzaq, as he has the ability to single handedly win the game for Pakistan with both his batting and bowling.
For the Lankans, T Dilshan is one of the most destructive batsmen in the game and has odds of 7/2. Dilshan is due for a big score as his form has been sketchy of late.

Bet on the Cricket World Cup
Featured Bet
Both teams are packed with star talent and it appears that whoever decides to put their hand up on the day and be counted will take their side to victory. Individual brilliance will be the theme of the day and the players to watch out for are Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Akhtar from Pakistan along with M Jayawardene and T Dilshan from Sri Lanka.
Match Predictions
Sri Lanka are a good side but when they play at home they are even harder to beat. Logic says Sri Lanka will win this one but Pakistan have the ability to beat just about any team on the day.
Best Bet: Abdul Razzaq 13/2
