2010 ALCS Game 6: New York Yankees vs. Texas Rangers

New York Yankees (5-3) @ Texas Rangers (6-4)

Date: Friday October 22nd, 2010

Time: 8:07 pm EST

Preview: The defending World Series Champions will look to stay alive in Arlington on Friday evening. The New York Yankees and Texas Rangers will play the sixth game of the American League Championship Series. The Rangers are ahead 3-2, but the Yankees have a little momentum winning game five at home. The Yankees will send Phil Hughes to the mound. Hughes went 18-8 with a 4.19 earned run average during the regular season. During the postseason, the 24 year old right hander is 1-1, pitching 11 innings, allowing 10 hits and 7 runs. In game two, Hughes was roughed up and took the loss.

For Texas, Colby Lewis is scheduled to make the start. The 31 year old from Bakersfield, California beat the Yankees earlier in the season, pitching 5.2 innings. During the regular season, Lewis went 12-13. The Yankees, who have won 27 world series titles, and 40 American League pennants have never come back from a 3-1 series deficit.

My Betting Picks: The Yankees once again stay alive and move the series to a Saturday tilt which would mean winner take all. The Yankees jump on Lewis early and win the game 6-4.
